Grosvenor Bridge, Grosvenor Road, Chester, Cheshire

This road bridge stands over the River Dee. It was designed in 1824 by Thomas Harrison and was built in 1827-1833, under the supervision of his pupil William Cole the younger. It has a 200ft single span. It is believed to have been the longest stone arch in the world when it was built. It cost £50,000 to build.
