Halfpenny Bridge and Lodge House, Claverton Street, Bath, Bath and North East Somerset

A pedestrian bridge over the river Avon linking Bath with Widcombe and dated 1877. The toll house, dated 1867, was used for collecting the charge for crossing the bridge. The original footbridge was wooden and collapsed through overloading in 1877. 10 people died and 70 were injured.
