Halsall Old Rectory, Halsall, Lancashire

Photographic copy of a watercolour sketch showing a man with a scythe cutting the lawns at the front of Halsall Old Rectory, Halsall stands in West Lancashire near to Formby and Ainsdale. The church is St Cuthberts which stands on a sandstone outcrop along with the the hall and part of the village. Between the church and the hall are portions of the old rectory house, consisting of a wall 55 ft. long, with three doorways and three two-light windows, several traces of cross walls, and a turret.
