Harrods, 87-135 Brompton Road, Chelsea, Greater London

The ladies boot department in Harrods. Harrods was founded in 1849. The current building was built in stages between 1901-1930. It is well-known for its ornately decorated interiors. Victorian department stores were deliberately aimed at women. They displayed an enticing range of goods. The stores also employed an army of working class women to make and sell the goods.
