Hyde Mill, Lower Harpenden Road, Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire

This water powered corn mill, granary and associated buildings date from the late 19th century. It is built over the river Lea. It was partially adapted for roller milling in the 1920's. The mill was in use until 1995. It is a remarkably complete example of a late 19th century water powered corn mill, retaining a complete working interior, and evidence for 2 types of motive power, designed to work together.
