Jesmond Dene, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear
A view of the waterfall at Jesmond Dene. It was created by Sir William Armstrong as a garden and recreational space to entertain his business associates. The park was given as a gift to the people of Newcastle and named Armstrong Park in 1883. It was officially opened by the Prince and Princess of Wales in 1884.
