Johnson Birthplace Museum, Breadmarket Street, Lichfield, Staffordshire

The house and book shop was constructed in 1707. It is the birthplace of Dr Samuel Johnson, 1709-84. He was a famous writer and complier of a dictionary. He was the son of Michael Johnson the bookseller. Dr Johnson lived here until 1735.
