Ladys Bridge, Sheffield, South Yorkshire

The triumphal arch erected at Lady's Bridge in Sheffield for the visit of Edward, Prince of Wales in 1875. The photograph was taken by M E Hadfield & Son, architects, who were commissioned to design the triumphal arch. Temporary arches like this were often built around towns when royal visits took place.
