Leicester's Hospital, Warwick, Warwickshire

A view south-west along the High Street towards the West Gate and St James' Chapel, with Leicester's Hospital buildings to the right. The hospital was originally built by the Guild of St George in 1483. It was converted by Robert Dudley, Lord Leicester, into a pensioners' hospital in 1571. A hospital would have been similar to an almshouse. This print once formed part of an album.
