Long Alley Almshouses, Abingdon, Oxfordshire
These almshouses were built by the Fraternity of the Holy Cross in 1446. They were originally known as St. Helen's Hospital. They are a row of 13 single storey rooms. They were closed in 1548, as part of the Dissolution. However in 1553 they were reopened and refounded as Christ's Hospital. This includes Twitty's Almshouses and Brick Alley Almshouses.
