Long Sands, Tynemouth, Tyne and Wear

A view looking north across Long Sands, Tynemouth. The beach is crowded with people and there are several groups of bathing machines on the shoreline. The photograph also shows the Tynemouth Aquarium and Winter Garden on top of the cliff. This building opened in 1878. It was later named the Tynemouth Palace and later still, The Plaza.
