Market House, Market Place, New Buckenham, Norfolk

This market house was probably built as shops in 1559. It is made from a timber frame with wattle and daub walls. The building has been adapted over the years. These wooden columns date from 1754. The centre one was used as a whipping post and has arm holds on it.
