Memorial to the 79th Regiment, Clifton Down, Bristol

A very early war memorial. It was put up in 1766 by General Draper in the garden of his home, Manilla House. It commemorates the Indian part of the Seven Years War 1759-62. It was moved in 1882 when Manilla Road was built.
