Milton Abbot School, Milton Abbot, Devon

The school was founded as an endowed school by the Duke of Bedford in 1829. It was designed in a Tudor style. Milton Abbot was one of the last endowed elementary schools in Devon. It was originally for boys only. It became a Voluntary School in 1848 and a Board School in 1877. It originally consisted of a schoolroom and adjoining schoolhouse. The schoolhouse has been converted to additional classrooms.
