Monument to Edward Thring, Uppingham, Rutland

This monument was built in memory of Edward Thring. He was a headmaster of Uppingham School and responsible for its expansion and development. He died in 1887. It is inscribed "This cross was erected to the memory of a beloved teacher by those of his boys who were at Uppingham Oct 22 1887".
