Morgans Mount on the City Walls, Chester, Cheshire

This rectangular watch tower was built in the 1640s. It was originally called the Raised Square Platform. It was then said to have been named Morgan's Mount, after Captain William Morgan (a commander of the Royalist garrison during the Civil War).
