Oasthouse, Ramsden Farm, Bethersden, Kent

Oasthouses are a part of the agricultural landscape of Kent and are used to dry hops for making beer. Their distinctive shape evolved over the 18th and 19th centuries. This 19th-century example is attached to a barn that predates it by about 100 years.
