Officer's barracks at Tilbury Fort, Tilbury, Thurrock

This terrace of 22 officers' houses were built in the fort in 1772, by the Board of Ordnance. They are a good and rare example of Ordnance Board housing at this time. They are also of interest for the use of the terrace plan for providing officers' lodgings. This site is now in the care of English Heritage (2010).
