Papplewick Pumping Station, Papplewick, Nottinghamshire

Papplewick Pumping Station was laid out between 1881 and 1884. It was used to supply water to Nottingham. There is an engine house, boiler house, workshop, chimney, smithy, stable and cart shed. It is built in Gothic Revival style of architecture. It still has the original pumps and is now a museum. In addition to the pumping station itself, there was also a superintendent's house and a deputy's house.
