Peterscourt, City Road, Peterborough

This building was built in 1856-64 as a teacher training college for men. It was built to designs by Sir G G Scott. It is now used as council offices. The building is mainly listed for the doorway which was added later. It was brought from the London Guildhall following Second World War damage. The doorway is of early 18th century date with fine carvings of pillars and gothic style glazing (glass).
