Priory Church, Christchurch, Dorset
The church of the Augustinian priory was founded around 1150. The present building was finally completed in 1234. It has served as the parish church since 1540 following the Dissolution of the priory in 1539. This image shows the Norman apse on the south transept of the priory church.
