Pump House, Village Street, Edmondsham, Dorset

This pump house with pumping mechanism would have been the village's water supply before water was piped into individual houses. The pump is dated 1884 and the pump house 1931. The cast iron pumping mechanism with fly wheel is still in place. The pump spout is set in a stone with a dated inscription.
