R Bain, Boatbuilder, Fore Street, Lambeth, London

R Bain was one of many boat builders and repairers which were established along the banks of the River Thames through London. This section of the riverfront through Lambeth was subsequently redeveloped to create the Albert Embankment. The firm specialised in smaller boats. Three men have stopped work to pose for the photographer.
