Repeater Station beneath Dover Castle, Dover, Kent

Beneath the white cliffs of Dover and Dover Castle are miles of tunnels, first begun in the Middle Ages. These tunnels were used by Winston Churchill and senior army strategists as a command centre during World War II, such as the Repeater Station seen here. This property is now in the care of English Heritage (2010).
