Rewley Abbey, Oxford, Oxfordshire

This is all that remains of Rewley Abbey. It was founded in 1281 by the Cistercians. The only surviving features of the abbey are sections of the Precinct wall and a 15th century gateway. The Abbey was closed in 1536 as part of Henry VIII's dissolution of the monasteries.
