Round House, Frogmarsh, Gloucestershire

This building was originally a teasel drying tower. It is an important survival from the times when the wool industry was the major industry in this area. Dry teasels were used in the process of raising the nap of cloth (fluffing it up). It is said that teasels were especially grown for this purpose, notably around the village of Eastington.
