Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Queen Street, Exeter, Devon

The Royal Albert Memorial Museum is dated 1865. It was designed by J Hayward of Exeter in Venetian Gothic style. It is built from Heavitree stone with paler red stone dressings. The Victorians built museums in many towns aiming to educate working people in their leisure time.
