Royal Bath Hotel, Bath Road, Bournemouth

In 1836 Sir George Tapps-Gervis decided to create a seaside resort at Bournemouth on land originally owned by his father. He employed an architect and one of the first buildings he had built was the Bath hotel in 1838. The hotel was built in Classical style with columns. It has been extended several times as the number of holiday makers has grown.
