Seamen's Orphan Institution, Orphan Drive, Liverpool, Merseyside

This building was built as the Royal Liverpool Seaman's Orphan Institution. It was built in 1871-5 by Alfred Waterhouse. It provided housing and an education for the children. In 1899 it was home to 321 children. After 1949 it became a hospital.
