Shadwell Quarry, near Much Wenlock, Shropshire
This aerial picture shows Shadwell Quarry. The basin of the quarry has filled with water and the limestone quarried here has helped to give this a rich blue colour. The limestone from the quarries in this area have been used for roadstone, building, smelting flux and lime.
