Shaw House School, Shaw Cum Donnington, West Berkshire

The house was built for Thomas Dolman, a local clothier in 1581 and used as headquarters by King Charles I during the battle of Newbury in 1644. It was used for military purposes during world war two and was a school from 1943 until 1985.
