Shire Hall, Howden, East Riding of Yorkshire

The Shire Hall was built in the Market Place in 1871 - 3. It was designed by Hadfield and Sons of Sheffield in a Dutch Gothic style with a massive stepped gable. There is a Market Hall to the rear and 2 shops on the ground floor with a public hall above.
