Smithills Hall, Bolton, Greater Manchester
Smithills Hallis one of the most important houses in the old county of Lancashire The oldest part is the great hall which is dates from the early 15th century. Smithills Hall is now (2011) a historic house museum. The earlier part of the house, including the medieval Great Hall has been open to the public as a museum since 1963. The Victorian rooms were opened to the public in the early 1990s.
