Spark's Daylight Bakery, Stockton-on-Tees, Cleveland

Spark's Bakery was built in 1938 in an Art Deco fashion; a style partially based on the architecture of ancient Egypt, popularised by the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. The designers used the hot air from the bakery to heat the rest of the building through special ducts.
