Spotted Dog Public House, West Ham, Greater London

This Public House in Upton Lane dates from the 16th century and is one of the few reminders of the area's rural past. It is timber framed, with weatherboarding on the first floor. The central block was originally an open hall with 2 jettied crosswings. In the 18th century it was surrounded by pleasure grounds and in the 19th century it had a cricket ground. It had an extension added at this time.
