St Mary the Virgin's Church, Bromfield, Shropshire

Originally the church of a Benedictine Priory, it went out of use at the Dissolution and was only restored for worship in 1658. The glory of the church today is the painted chancel ceiling. Executed by Thomas Francis in 1672, it consists of Biblical texts and angels on a cloudy backgound, with a central representation of the Trinity.
