Stapleton Mill, Snuff Mills Park, River View, Bristol

An early 19th century water mill rebuilt around 1985. The mill is shown on a map of 1610 as "Whitwood" . The map shows four other mills along this part of the River Frome. It was originally 3 storeys high and a steam engine was installed in the late 19th century. The building is now part of a public park and the water wheel has been restored to working order.
