Statue of Joseph Pease, High Row, Darlington

This late 19th century statue is a bronze figure of Pease in contemporary dress. The base has 4 panels representing 4 aspects of Pease's public life. He was the first Quaker MP. He supported the emancipation of slaves, education and the building of railways.
