Stone Works Farmhouse, Blisworth, Northamptonshire

This building is inscribed 'BLISWORTH/STONE WORKS'. It was built in c1821. This was when Blisworth stone quarry was opened. It was part of the Northamptonshire estates of the Dukes of Grafton. Stone had probably been quarried long before this date, but this was the first major commercial exploitation of the stone.
