The Ancient Ram Inn, Wotton Under Edge, Gloucestershire

Much of this building dates from 1550-1600. However deeds relating to the property date back to 1350. The presence of tenter hooks, and the documentary links to a series of wool merchants from the 1500s, are proof of its links to the local wool trade. It is referred to as The Ram inn in a deed of 1820.
