The Black Gate, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear

The Black Gate was the gatehouse to Newcastle's castle. It was built in the mid-13th century, altered in the early 17th century and restored in 1883 for the Society of Antiquaries, Newcastle. It is now a museum and private library
