The Circus, Bath, Bath and North East Somerset

The Circus was built by John Wood the elder in 1754-8. It was an original and innovative design, bending terraces of housing into tight curves. Although the facades of all the individual buildings are the same they were often built by different builders. The backs of the properties could be quite different.
