A woman sitting on the doorstep of The Cottage, a 17th century timber framed, thatched cottage in Welford-on-Avon. The cottages in the background are Bridges Cottage, dating from the 18th century and Baskerville Cottage, dating from the 17th century. On the reverse of the card mount there is a note written by the photographer, Bernard Moore of Birmingham, reading 'Autotype, Standard Brown on Crayon Paper'. This refers to the process he has used to create this photographic positive with a brown tint.
