The Docks, Southampton
The American Farmer ship from the United States shipping line is tied up in the Western(New)docks in Southampton. The large cranes on the quay were used to haul goods into the holds of the ship in the days before goods were moved in containers. The sheer size of the cranes can be seen from the men standing beneath them.
