The Forge, Branscombe, Devon

This building houses a working forge dating from the 19th century. The building dates from the late 18th or early 19th century and is built from stone rubble with a thatch roof. The forge has an open-fronted shelter in front. This is where the blacksmith would have fitted new shoes to horses.
