The Geffrye Museum, Kingsland Road, Hackney, Greater London

This building was originally built as almshouses. They were built in c1715 by the Ironmongers' Company on land purchased by the bequest of Sir Robert Geffrye (d 1704). The building was bought by London County Council in 1910 and opened as a museum of the furniture trade in 1914.
