The Harley Grammar School, Church Lane, Osgathorpe, Leicestershire

This school was founded by Thomas Harley in 1670. Thomas Harley was born in Osgathorpe in 1613 and died there in 1673. He moved to London during the turbulent time of Oliver Cromwell and the Civil War. He became a successful businessman and returned to the village where he paid for the school and almshouses.
