The Old Forge, High Street, Lewes, East Sussex

This building was built in the late 16th century as a house. It was altered in the 18th and 19th centuries for industrial use. By 1872 the premises was being used as a 'furniture maker, paper hanger, undertaker, appraiser and house agent' (as stated on a panel above the door). The building is now used as a shop.
