The Old School, Main Street, Blankney, Lincolnshire

This school was built in 1848 by W A Nicholson. It is part of a planned estate village. The whole village was built by the Chaplin family of nearby Blankney Hall. It is interesting that the school was built as part of the village as children did not legally have to go to school until the 1870 Education Act.
