The Pavilion Theatre, Bournemouth
The Pavilion is a good example of a purpose-built entertainment complex built for a major seaside resort. The complex includes a theatre with a ballroom and supper rooms. One of these rooms is now used as pub. It was built in 1928-9 by G Wyville Home and Shirley Knight. They were winners of a design competition in 1923.
